There have been several changes and updates in important ASTM standards affecting concrete producers. Committee members approved three new standards at December's ASTM committee meetings:
C129 - Standard Specification for Nonloadbearing Concrete Masonry Units has been revised to C129-06.
C1623 - Standard Specification for Manufactured Concrete Masonry Lintels has been revised to C1623-06.
C90 - Standard Specification for Loadbearing Concrete Masonry Units has been revised to C90-06b. Committees also are beginning discussions on three work items that should interest producers.
WK13773 - Standard Test Method for Potential Alkali Reactivity of Aggregates (Mortar-Bar Method) is a work item revision to existing standard C1260-05a.
WK13774 - Standard Test Method for Potential Alkali Reactivity of Aggregates (Mortar-Bar Method) is a work item revision to existing standard C1260-05a.
WK13775 - Standard Test Method for Determining the Potential Alkali-Silica Reactivity of Combinations of Cementitious Materials and Aggregate (Accelerated Mortar-Bar Method) is a work item revision to existing standard C1567-04.
