NRMCA Eugene Martineau, founder, president, CEO, and director of U.S. Concrete, is the recipient of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association's William B. Allen Award. “Gene's contributions to NRMCA and our industry are second to none,” said NRMCA President Robert Garbini. Martineau also is chairman of the National Steering Committee of the Concrete Industry Management Program.
PCA, NRMCA Abstracts are due March 15 for the First International Conference of Recent Advances in Concrete Technology. The event will be held Sept. 19–21 at the Sheraton in Crystal City, Va., near Washington D.C. Organizers expect speakers from the United States, China, India, Iran, Turkey, Korea, Taiwain, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Europe, and Africa. ASTM ASTM International is inviting papers for a Symposium on Test Methods for Chemical and Mineralogical Analysis of Hydraulic Cements and Concrete-Making Materials, sponsored by Committees C01 on Cement and C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates.
