CIM Auction Returns

The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) National Steering Committee is once again hosting an unreserved auction at this year's show. Concrete industry-related items will be auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting the CIM program. Last year's auction raised $540,000. This is an exciting event to watch. The bidding is fast and furious.

The CIM National Steering Committee, the CIM Patrons Groups, along with World of Concrete show management, Hanley Wood publications and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will sponsor the auction. For more on this program, visit the Web site, www.concretedegree.com.

John Deere Load America

Pre-certified drivers demonstrate their operating and safety knowledge of John Deere front-end loaders in this Producer's Challenge event. The competition consists of a series of activities designed to test contestants' skills, including figure-8 pattern driving, ball drop, accurate rear-stops, parking, and more. Contestants with the best scores win great prizes.

The event takes place Tuesday through Thursday in the Gold Lot in front of the North Hall. Visit John Deere at booth #N2427 and #C6269.

Women in Concrete Luncheon & Forum

This event, sponsored by Lafarge and hosted by THE CONCRETE PRODUCER and CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION magazines, continues to grown in popularity each year. The two-hour program brings together hundreds of women working in all segments of the concrete construction industry. It provides a unique opportunity to connect with peers and gain insight into the challenges specific to women in the industry. Last year's event sold out fast, so register soon.

It takes place noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4. Cost is $60 for preregistration; $85 after Dec. 30.
