The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program – a business intensive program that awards students with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management – will hold its 10th annual fundraising auction  at the World of Concrete, Wed., Feb. 4th, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The live auction begins at 1 p.m. and internet bidding will be available on the Ritchie Bros. website. To participate in the Auction, bidders must register one week in advance.

Here's a look at two of the items available this year.

Allen Engineering Corp., a family-owned business that has provided the concrete industry with high-quality and innovative equipment since its inception in 1964, has donated a Pro 446 Work-Behind Trowel, designed to produce high-tolerance concrete floors with a quality not seen in other trowels. This particular model has an adjustable positive pitch handle with carry bar and handle pad, a 4-blade 46" rotor, a lifting hook, a standard-duty gear box, and much more.

CEMEX, global leader in building materials and has provided high-quality products and reliable service to customers throughout the world since its founding in 1906,  has donated an exciting sports package for four in Los Angeles: Watch the L.A. Kings take on the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, April 11, followed by the L.A. Clippers battling the Memphis Grizzles that evening. Finish your thrilling weekend by watching the L.A. Lakers play the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, April 12, from the best seats in the house (half court, row 2). The package includes two hotel rooms for three nights at the Marina del Rey Marriott, airfare for four from any U.S. city, ground transportation to and from the airport, as well as parking passes for each game.

There's still time to donate. Get exposure for your company and support an important cause. The National Steering Committee for CIM also accepts cash donations. Contact Michael Philipps at or 713.722.2969.
