By now, most of you have heard about Concrete Cares—a non-profit organization in the concrete industry that is serious about raising the public’s awareness of breast cancer and maybe even contributing to a cure. “Everyone has been touched by breast cancer,” says Mike Murray, co-founder of Concrete Cares.
This mission is simple—to place pink decorative concrete to draw attention to the cause, by pulling contractors and concrete producers to donate materials and labor/talent to create the final piece. The project can be small and mighty! Murray’s goal is to have a pink concrete placement in every state by October 2013.
Concrete Cares is also holding a Pink Ribbon on Every Concrete Truck Challenge, and your help is requested!
Show your support by placing a pink ribbon on every ready-mix truck, company vehicle, construction vehicle, or your personal car/truck. You can tie or paint it on, use a magnet, or any other creative way that works.
Help show your support and participate in the challenge. Then send your pictures of the ribbons on the trucks and cars to Concrete Cares (firstname.lastname@example.org) and they’ll be posted in the winter newsletter! For more information, visit www.concretecares.com.
