Gil Heldenfels, Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Building Systems Division, has announced he will be leaving full time employment with the company to begin a new venture, effective April 1, 2016.
Heldenfels joined the company in 1998 when his brother, Fred
Heldenfels IV, President & CEO of Heldenfels Enterprises, Inc. (HEI)recruited him to improve the company’s production operations. Says Heldenfels, “I’m especially grateful to have had the opportunity to help grow a vibrant business and continue a family legacy that began in 1909. I’ll miss being an active part of the business and the precast industry, but I know HEI has a talented leadership team and bright prospects for the future. I feel this is an opportune time for me to pursue other interests.”
To ensure a smooth transition and continuity of service to its existing customers and projects, the company will retain Heldenfels on a part-time consultancy through the end of the year. Heldenfels also retains a minority ownership and will remain as Secretary/Treasurer of the
company’s Board of Directors.
The company remains firmly committed to serving its customers in commercial building construction. According to Fred Heldenfels, “HEI has developed the management strength necessary to continue serving the building construction market while maintaining our strong presence in the highway/bridge and marine/industrial markets.” The company has reorganized to function under three geographic divisions – San Marcos, Corpus Christi, and El Paso. Building Systems projects will be absorbed into each of the geographic divisions.
Heldenfels Enterprises, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of precast/prestressed concrete structures serving the highway and bridge, commercial, marine/industrial and sports facility construction markets. The company operates plants in San Marcos, Corpus Christi and El Paso, Texas.
