It was a busy few days in Orlando, Fla., for NRMCA's 2015 Annual Convention March 1-3.

Highlights included the Opening General Session, which explored the threats to the concrete industry, with keynote speaker Steve Skalko sharing an historic perspective of the wood industry's building dominance and its competitive drive for market share. Another General Session explored three key public agencies - Broward County, City of Moore and San Francisco - and how they have implemented resilience action to protect the safety and welfare of their citizens.

The final day of the 2015 Annual Convention celebrated NRMCA award winners at the Awards Breakfast. The 2015 Driver of the Year Award went to Edward Rieper of Eastern Concrete Materials, the Concrete Cares Award won jointly by Kearney Concrete Co. and Central Supply Company, the Chairman's Award went to our own Gary Mullings.

The final day also saw the election of NRMCA's new 2015-2016 Chairman of the Board, Allen Hamblen of CalPortland Company.
