Every day, every driver must complete a pre-trip inspection of the mixer truck before leaving with the first load. Not only is it required by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration's 49 CRF, Part 396, it also makes sure your fleet runs smoothly throughout the day.

These two different, comprehensive pre-trip inspection lessons review the latest best practice, daily, seven-step inspection procedure. With the sole focus on either a rear or front discharge mixer truck, a driver will learn how to develop a safe, routine, and thorough working knowledge of the vehicle. Additional steps are included for rear or front discharge mixer trucks with liftable axels.

NRMCA's Online Safety Series Library consists of seven video titles:

  • Concrete Mixer truck Backing Accident Prevention Program
  • Concrete Mixer Truck Rules for Using a Backing Spotter
  • Lockout/Tagout/Tryout in the RMC Industry, Part 1
  • Lockout/Tagout/Tryout in the RMC Industry, Part 1
  • Pre-trip Inspection for a Rear Discharge Mixer
  • Pre-trip Inspection for a Front Discharge Mixer
  • Working Safely On & Around Mixer Trucks

Each streamed lesson is 20-30 minutes long, and is filmed at a ready mixed producer facility to assure the lesson is specifically relevant to the concrete industry. Each lesson includes automatic quizzes that provide proof of training and comprehension. Each purchase includes a supervisor's log by name, date, and title to record participants. Lessons are accessible online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Visit the online Safety Series Webpage for one month streaming access per title.
