Join Command Alkon for the fifth webinar in its FREE nine-part series, "Getting a Payback from your Quality Control Department". This series is primarily geared towards ready-mix and precast producers. We will be offering webinars every three to four weeks until the series is complete.
Our fifth webinar is "Cementitious Content and Strength Overdesign - Don't Waste Cement." Not only is cement the most expensive component of concrete, its production makes a significant contribution to the creation of greenhouse gases. Minimizing cement makes both good economic sense and environmental sense. However, many concrete producers are of the opinion that an extra 50 lbs. or 25 kg. of cement is a good insurance policy. That extra material adds up over time. ACI 318 and 301, along with EN-206 for European producers, both have requirements for determining cementitious concrete and/or strength performance. In this webinar attendees will:
- Learn strength overdesign requirements according to ACI 301/318 and EN-206
- Determine cement factors to meet specification needs
- Resolve conflicts when specified strength and maximum water/cementitious ratios don’t match
- Learn how to document concrete strength performance for submittals and status reports
This webinar will be offered at two different session dates and times, Oct. 18 at 1 pm CDT and Oct. 19 at 11 am CDT. Please choose the session that works best for you when registering. Note that LIVE WEBINAR ATTENDANCE IS LIMITED TO 100 PARTICIPANTS PER SESSION, but all who register will receive a link to a recording of the webinar.
