Three hotels that are currently under construction all have one thing in common: they’re incorporating SlenderWall architectural precast concrete building panels. By using SlenderWall, The Hyatt House in Jersey City, N.J., the Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Oh., and the Embassy Suites in Berkeley Heights, N.J., will all be able to have a long life span as it also reduces initial construction costs.
SlenderWall “the exterior precast cladding from the structural stresses associated with wind loading, steel frame movement, expansion and contraction, and seismic shock.” Chris Grogan, business development manager for Smith-Midland, said in a press release that using SlenderWall helped “reduce both the on-site trade work required and the overall project schedule.”
For the Embassy Suites in Berkeley Heights, the project will have a total of 52,671 square feet of precast architectural panels.
