If Donald Trump's plan to build a wall on the Mexican border comes to fruition, one of the biggest beneficiaries may actually be the Mexican cement company, Cemex SAB. A team at Bloomberg takes a look at how the largest cement maker in the Americas stands to benefit most from this project.
A report by a team at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., led by Phil Roseberg, explains how this project represents a huge opportunity for building materials companies on both sides of the border. The report acknowledges the construction difficulties presented by this project, especially in terms of transporting materials:
“It is not economically feasible to transport heavy building materials over large distances,” the team said. “As such, it is the companies with production facilities closest to the border that stand to gain the most as suppliers to The Trump Wall project.”
