U.S. Concrete Inc. has made four new additions to its leadership team.

Niel Poulsen has been appointed executive vice president of U.S. Concrete's Southeast division, in addition to the Custom-Crete and the U.S. Virgin Islands operations. He has served as the regional vice president and general manager of the South Central region since 2012. His previous responsibilities included U.S. Concrete North Texas, Oklahoma, Custom-Crete (Volumetric Ready-Mixed Concrete) and the On-Site Division operations in Maryland.

Second, David Behring has been appointed regional vice president and general manager of U.S. Concrete’s South Central region. He has served as vice president of Operations for Redi-Mix since April 2014. His previous responsibilities include region financial and operations management for the South Central Region. He has been a go-to person on developing the North Texas fledgling aggregates division into the successful business unit it is today. Before joining Redi-Mix, he was general manager and CFO for Go-Crete, prior to being acquired by U.S. Concrete, and has more than 20 years of industry experience.

David Gage is the regional vice president and general manager responsible for our U.S. Concrete's new U.S. Virgin Islands operations. Gage was president of Portable Concrete Services LLC and Thornhill’s LLC in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast area for the last four years. With Portable Concrete Services, he brought specialized solutions to unique concrete situations. With Thornhill’s, he consulted with start-ups and national building materials companies. From 2007 to 2010, he was CEO of Angelle Concrete Group in Baton Rouge, La. From 1990 to 2007, he was vice president and general manager of Lafarge North America.

Finally, Brian Mahavier has been promoted to vice president of corporate development. He has led the company on 21 acquisitions in the past two years, which have significantly expanded U.S. Concrete’s operations. He's been leading our development efforts since 2013. Before joining the company, he held similar positions with Oldcastle Materials and Hanson.
