Mr. Martineau has had an impressive career in the concrete, aggregate, precast and building materials industry spanning over 40 years. His passion for the advancement of the industry and dedication to its continued development has been a cornerstone to Mr. Martineau's career.

According to Propex CEO Stan Brant, the Propex Board is driven to continue the growth and development of the company along all product lines. "We're looking forward to Mr. Martineau's involvement with the Propex Board," said Brant. "Gene brings a wealth of experience that reinforces our strong commitment to the concrete construction industry, and supports our Geosynthetics, Performance Technologies and Furnishing businesses as well."

About Eugene Martineau:

Eugene Martineau is currently Founder of Martineau & Associates Consulting. Mr. Martineau has over 40 years' experience in the ready-mixed concrete and related industries. Mr. Martineau, the founder and first president and CEO of U.S. Concrete Inc., left the company in 2007 to pursue other interests. Under Mr. Martineau's guidance U.S. Concrete became one of the largest concrete producers in the United States. He has served as a director and member of the Executive Committee of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association and has been elected as a lifetime honorary director. He served as the National Director of RMC 2000 from 1993-1997. RMC 2000 was a grass roots industry movement that captured the imagination of the ready mix concrete industry and was the facilitator for monumental changes in the industry. He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the RMC Research & Education Foundation since its creation and served as chairman in 2004. Mr. Martineau was one of the founders and served as the chairman of the National Steering Committee for Concrete Industry Management (CIM). The CIM Program is now installed in five universities across the U.S. and is providing the industry with its future leaders. He currently serves as its Executive Director. In 2007, Mr. Martineau was selected by Concrete Producer magazine as one of the top influencers in the concrete industry.
