The RMC 2000 movement has been active during 1995. In January, the strategic plan for RMC 2000 was finalized and published. The plan is created in the hopes that, when adopted by ready mix producers, the level of professionalism in the industry will increase.
1995 was an eventful year for the RMC 2000 strategic plan, starting with an overwhelming response at World of Concrete 95 in Las Vegas. In February, the NRMCA voted to endorse the plan. RMC 2000, in conjunction with NRMCA, produced an antitrust awareness video for the industry. In August, the RMC 2000 national leadership conference had 125 attendees.
Other developments for RMC 2000 include a series of industry meetings and development of five committees, made up of concrete producers, suppliers and association executives to establish sales training and certification needs.
