Known throughout tiny Granby, Colo., as Marv, Marvin Heemeyer owned a muffler shop next to where Cody Docheff planned to build his new Mountain Park Concrete plant. But Heemeyer fought Docheff in a long, drawn out zoning battle, which eventually was decided in Docheff’s favor.

For a while, no one saw or heard from Heemeyer. But on June 4, 2004, he reappeared behind the controls of an armor-plated bulldozer, and set out to destroy Mountain Park Concrete and Granby itself.

This is the story of a producer, who watched the curbs and streets he helped build become rubble.
