A Nashville-area ready-mixed producer has been routing to a homebuilder the benefits of fiber-reinforced concrete. Over time, the homebuilder has benefited from the small investment in fibers in that it has yielded a good-looking driveway and sidewalk almost every time. The homebuilder has discovered fibers to be an inexpensive protection to unsightly plastic shrinkage cracks. A new cellulose fiber has been scientifically reviewed and chemically altered for concrete harsh environments and a producers’ need for ease of handling.
