Slicker mixer

McNeilus gave an insider's view of the redesigned Revolution composite mixer drum. McNeilus focused on increasing productivity and drum longevity. The drum features a reformulated polymer that, when hardened, is smoother and tougher. The polymer cures so it is denser, yet more flexible, eliminating sticky buildup and providing superior wear resistance. This extends the life of the fins and interior.

Two-inch channels along the drum allow water to get behind the fin. During batching, charge water can move down the entire drum to facilitate better mixing. During washout, wash water flowing through the channels ensures that concrete does not build up. The surface contains a white pigment so the drum no longer must be painted.
