There were lots of winners at the annual Concrete Industry Management (CIM) auction at World of Concrete. In addition to the winning bidders, companies that donated products and services made winning investements in the industry's future, and hundreds of current and future CIM students across the nation benefited.
The event raised $386,000, $100,000 more than the previous year. “The attendance at the auction was greater than in years past, and we are thrilled about how everyone stepped up to bid on the great auction items and support the CIM program, especially given the difficult economy,” said Will Johnson of U.S. Concrete Products and CIM auction chairman.
In addition to a ready-mix truck donated by McNeilus Cos. and Freightliner, other auctioned items included a skidsteer, concrete saws, drills, mixers, vibrators, scaffolding, fiber transport systems, dust collectors, decorative tools, generators, training sessions, laptop computers, sports memorabilia, and vacation travel packages.
