The new Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge will reroute traffic between Nevada and Arizona over the Colorado River, to eliminate traffic over the Hoover Dam. On Oct. 16, 2010, the bridge was officially opened to the public. Between 10,000 and 20,000 visitors were expected for the "Walk the Bridge" event.
The bridge is a concrete marvel that complements the 75-year-old dam. It is scheduled to open for traffic in November. World of Concrete attendees can tour the Dam and bridge on Jan. 16 or 21. For details, visit www.worldofconcrete.com.
