In order to get a precast panel to the jobsite intact, in order of erection, on time, with the proper permits when necessary, and following the legal rules of the road for weight and size, a great deal of planning must take place. Coordination of the shipping with the erection of the project must comply with local rules concerning truck traffic and noise. The size of the payload is governed by weight limits per axle and the size of the trailer. The transportation should allow as little handling by the erector as possible to obtain proper placement.
