Concrete producers today find themselves in a climate of moderate but steady growth, tempered with the uncertainties surrounding federal transportation funding, rising interest rates, and cement shortages. Accordingly, cautious optimism prevails among the TCP 100—THE CONCRETE PRODUCER's third annual survey of North America's top producers, ranked by 2003 revenue.

About three-quarters of these leading producers reported revenue increases in 2003, compared to the previous year, and almost as many expect to post similar gains this year. Overall, their sales each rose an average of 7% last year.
