Work began early in the 2014 Pervious Live area as craftsmen arrived to create a concrete version—pervious, of course—of the new ACI logo. ACI’s official announcement about the new logo took place at World of Concrete a little later in the week, complete with a ceremonial unveiling of its pervious logo. Preparations were also made for visitors interested in learning more about pervious concrete with the placement of various demonstration slabs, exhibits, and vendor set-up. As the show began, attendees came to the Gold Lot to learn about pervious concrete mixes, installation equipment, and proper installation techniques. They could even participate hands-on in placing the of pervious concrete.
