Building a Dream

To build his dream home in a housing development overlooking the Potomic River, Baltimore-area builder Lewie Bloom used precast concrete to beat a restrictive height requirement.

Architect Robert Gurney not only used concrete plank flooring to create a wide-open space, he incorporated the exposed look as part of the ceiling.

Supported by a concrete plank floor, the construction crew used concrete elements to complete the cantilevered pool overlooking the Potomac River.
