Graylastic formliners provide maximum design latitude for precast or cast-in-place applications. Made from polyurethane and bonded to plywood, they can be used up to 100 times and are not affected by heat or cold. They are also available in sizes up to 30 feet long and can be easily cut in the field. Odd sizes and custom fabrications are also available. Elastomeric/urethane formliners add beauty and elegance to cast-in-place walls. The formliners are available in single-use to high-reuse forms, and have relief up to 1 inch, with stone shapes and sizes to fit any application. The Bearpath Coursed Stone pattern features stones measuring 3 by 16 inches. Custom Rock. 800-637-2447. www.custom-rock.com.Circle 2. PCI booth #440.External vibrators
The Plug-and-Play external vibration system uses an AR36 electric vibrator to produce up to 6000 vibrations per minute. The system allows users to dial in the amount of energy for almost any specific application, providing complete consolidation while avoiding blowouts and segregation. The motor uses a unique inverter to transform 220-V, single-phase power into 42-V, 3-phase power. The inverter can work up to six vibrators at a time. The vibrators can also be adjusted with remote control. Wacker Corp. 800-770-0957. www.wackergroup.com. PCI booth #532.Crane offers extended reach
The new Model 7755 22-ton Carrydeck crane gives precasters greater capacity, compact profile, maneuverability, and extended reach. It measures less than 10 feet tall, 8 feet wide, and 24 feet long. The main boom has a reach of 67 feet, and up to 80 feet with an optional jib. It also offers 60 square feet of load space. Shuttlelift Inc. 920-743-8650. www.shuttlelift.com. PCI booth #207.Precast curing system
The Quadrix Accelerated Concrete Curing System provides optimal curing for semi-dry precast concrete blocks, pavers, and curbing products. Added heat accelerates cement hydration; air circulation maintains consistent temperature; added moisture ensures maximum cement hydration and harder corners and edges. The system also circulates carbon dioxide to reduce efflorescence. Kraft Energy Systems Inc. 817-338-4997. www.kraftenergy.com. PCI booth #533.Water repellent paint
Klaas Coatings' Si-Rex03 is an exterior paint and wall coating for concrete and masonry that uses a silicone resin binder system for a mineral matte finish. It repels water but allows the substrate to breathe, minimizing flaking and peeling. It is also weather-resistant without chalking and outlasts conventional paints. ADVA Cast 555 is a high-range water reducer designed specifically for precast/prestress producers. It features high early-strength capabilities, a strong air management package, and an added benefit for architectural precasters—mix forgiveness when using white cements and color pigments. It also has high segregation resistance and produces more flowable concrete at lower viscosity. Grace Construction Products. 877-423-6491. www.graceconstruction.com. PCI booth #308.
