Vibratory screed

The High Energy Vibratory Screed applies high frequency vibration directly to the top of the concrete for consolidating double-tees, wall panels, flat slabs, and other similar products. The 12-inch-wide aluminum channel forms a lightweight, strong, and level screed. Leveling and consolidating is done in one step due to the adjustable steel retainer angles and wear plates that allow the screed to ride along the side of the form. Hamilton Form Co. 817-590-2111. Booth #433.

Connector saves time

The MB Erector Connector reduces installation time in precast flange-to-flange connections by eliminating welding slugs and reducing field welds. Embedded in the flange, the internal weld plate is extracted only as far as needed to make the connection. It eliminates the tension loads caused by expansion and contraction between precast elements, while resisting horizontal and vertical shear. Meadow Burke. 877-518-7665. PCI Booth #434.

Architectural formliners

Custom Rock formliners use actual textures to simulate stone, rock, brick, block, granite, and other appearances for cast-in-place, precast concrete. Non-repeating, high relief patterns, as well as custom molding, are also available. Custom Rock Formliner. 800-637-2447. Booth #542.

European equipment to the U.S.

Concrete Technology Integrators offers equipment from eight leading precast and hollowcore manufacturers, including Belgium's Echo Engineering, Aerolift Industrials B.V. from the Netherlands, and Italy's Innovative Concrete Technologies. CTI Inc. 800-284-5050. Booth #441.

Shotcrete accelerator

Sigunit L53 AF S is an alkali-free shotcrete accelerator that reduces shotcrete-generated dust and rebound. It improves the concrete's overall strength and durability as well as its bonding power, especially while spraying overhead. Because it is alkali- and chloride-free, it does not attack steel or iron, and poses no threat to groundwater. Sika Corp. 800-933-7452. Booth #521.

Precast bridge system

The Con-Struct prefabricated bridge system can be delivered and erected for roughly the same cost as a concrete box culvert, and it eliminates the disturbance to the underlying ditch or stream. Use it for longer spans, with reduced superstructure weights and increased under-clearance. The deck is pre-compressed during fabrication, eliminating temperature and shrinkage cracking. Tricon Precast. 281-931-9832. PCI Booth #736.

New link to green

The new “Building Green with Grace” section on the company's Web site links users with an interactive guide to products that help architects and specifiers achieve the prerequisites and points needed to meet the LEED Green Building rating system. It is organized according to the six LEED categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Innovation in Design. Grace Construction Products. 877-423-6491. PCI Booth #327.

Bridge beam software

PSBeam Version 3.0 is a Windows-based system for designing prestressed concrete bridge girders. It includes 3-D visualization tools and generates graphs quickly and easily. It supports AASHTO LRFD interim revisions through 2006, and integrates with the company's new ET Pier and ParaBridge software packages. Eriksson Technologies Inc. 813-989-3317. Booth #105.
