Above-grade wall systems are getting builders' attention; industry seeks 15% of market by 2002. One of the brightest emerging markets for concrete producers is perhaps the oldest segment of the construction industry: housing. Many parts of the world have been building with concrete for centuries. In the United States, where framing lumber has been abundant, concrete has made few inroads, other than as a foundation material. But during the 90s, concrete has had a greater impact on housing.
