The responses to our annual TCP100 survey of producers have officially been collected, sliced, diced, and analyzed. Thank you to all of our readers who participated. As always, TCP strives to provide an accurate “state-of-the-industry” report — but we can’t do it without your help.
Looking back at the past year, and ahead to the rest of 2013, this is what we heard from producers across North America:
- More than 80% are hiring; mostly drivers;
- Infrastructure is a leader in market performance (42%), and most producers report a residential uptick in their regions;
- Two-thirds of respondents are optimistic about revenue growth in 2013, compared to last year;
- Most have budgeted for higher capital expenditures this year (71%), including ready-mix trucks, mixers, plant equipment, and material handling equipment.
How does your experience compare? We’d love to hear from youwhether you agree, disagree, or have a comment. You can find us on Facebook (fb.me/TheConcreteProducer), Twitter (@TConcretePro), or feel free to reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay tuned for a detailed analysis of this year’s survey data in the September/October issue, which will include a ranking of the Top 10 publicly traded North American producers, company profiles, and more.
In the meantime, check out a map of producers who provided some of this year’s data.
