Once again the Gold Lot was the place to be. Sponsor Portland Cement Association brought three days of demonstrations showing attendees how roller-compacted concrete (RCC) is a viable option for local streets and roads, as well as industrial parking areas.

The RCC was manufactured in a central-mix concrete plant, transported to the project site in dump trucks, and installed using a high-density paver. The state-of-the-art concrete mix design by Corey Zollinger of Cemex obtained over 90% density as it left the paver, requiring only two passes with the 10-ton roller to obtain the required 98% wet density.
