Wireless scale

Smart Scale is the first wireless onboard scale for trucks, tractors, and trailers. It detects temperature and pressure changes in a vehicle's air suspension and wirelessly relays this data to a handheld receiver using a low-powered radio transmitter. Powered by AA batteries, the product eliminates the expense and time associated with a hardwired installation. It is accurate to within 0.3% of the actual weight. Bolt-on sensors

Silex sensors bolt directly onto the legs of a silo to measure the weight of its contents. They are easier to install than classic weldable sensors, perform equally well, and cost less. When installed on all four legs of a standard silo, accuracy is better than 2%. The measurement is true weight, not a value derived from a volume calculation. Silo content level and weight data can be transmitted to the SiloWeigh.Net database via internet or cellular radio. Scale-Tron Inc. 800-632-7083. www.scaletron.com.WOC booth #N517

Optical measuring

This electro-optical measuring system calculates the volume of material on conveyor belts. A sensor measures the cross-profile of the material on the belt and the feed rate, and calculates its volume. The data is evaluated and reported onsite on a wireless PDA/printer unit.
