At the American Concrete Institute’s fall convention, Solidia Technologies was featured as a leader in civil infrastructure technology. Solidia Cement has a low-calcium content and is silicate-based. It gains its strength from carbonation. Principal scientist at Solidia Technologies, Sada Sahu, Ph.D says that at least of 30% less carbon dioxide is emitted during the production process of Solidia Cement. This continues the sustainable trend within the industry.

When the reduced carbon dioxide emissions associate with Solidia Cement production are consider along with the ability of that cement to consume carbon dioxide during concrete curing, the carbon dioxide footprint associate with the manufacturing and use of cement can be reduce by up to 70% compared to OPC. As water is not consumed during the curing process, the mix water can be recovered and recycled.
